Here’s your quick Charleston v. Orlando game story:
Charleston out-played and out-shot the visitors in the first half, but Orlando took a lead around the hour mark on a mis-hit corner that dribble across the face of goal before being tapped home. Then Adama Mbengue punched Jose Cuevas for a red card, and Charleston spent the next 15 minutes frantically tried to bang home the equalizer. It came in the 90th minute when substitute forward Heviel Cordoves struck another lightning bolt into the packed Lions defense. Charleston pushed for the win in stoppage, but wound up sharing points.
And that’s all I have to say right now, because the Charleston chapter of the American Outlaws is en route Madra Rua for the USA vs. Guatemala friendly.
Because that’s how we roll, baby.
